- Reductionism is based on the idea that complex problems are solvable by dividing them into simpler and more tractable units, a circumstance which can result in the failure to grasp the whole of organizational reality.
However, a concept that penetrates all aspects of this book is that there is a relevant organizational reality identified as ethical and that there is a mode of shaping the actions of organiza tions identified as ethical management behavior.
